Bela Borsodi was born in Vienna and has lived and worked in New York City since the early 1990s. He studied fine art and graphic design with a great interest in psychology but often incorporated photography in his projects. When his friends started working at magazines and asked him to take photographs for them, Borsodi became more interested in photography. This led to an early career as a photographer where he shot portraits, reportage, and some fashion for editorials in Austria and Germany.
His photos are very provocative and unique. You either love them or hate them. The montage work is very neat and clean. When some of you may think of his work as very confusing images, I think his work is a literally a presentation of subjects just the way they are. I also like the bright colors Bela uses in almost every of his photos. I have to tell you that there are not too many tasteful fashion photographs out there. Being as provocative, experimental and edgy, Bela Borsodi’s work still falls under category of tastefully done fashion photography, in my opinion. Tell me what you think.
So what do you think? Love or hate?
