Man Fashion: D&G SS 2011 Ads Campaign

We simply adore it while marketing campaign pictures apparently just leak online!

However will they really get leaked out because those are desperate to find out these or perhaps could it be just about all sort of a larger strategy which fashion houses ought to develop a buzz around these fresh marketing campaign?Oh well, in any case we all continue to love all of them!

This fresh new men's clothing Dolce & Gabbana promotion for the Spring /Summer 2011 collection just as before sticking with the same sexual masculine idea which produced their brand name a household name. This campaign features pretty much identical models ,Noah Mills and Sam Webb, together with the fascinating add-on of Madonna's Erotica toy boy ,Tony Ward, seriously it was about time.

Of course the particular innovative direction oozes sex & italian stallion masculinity as the hard working boys are returning all sweaty, tanned, rugged and exhausted. If perhaps all of us did not realize that the campaign had been shot in New York in a facilities by Steven Meisel .

What do you think about this campaign?

gearing up for the cold

Hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday festivites.  I'm driving up to Mammoth tomorrow bright and early to have some fun in the snow and celebrate the New Year.  I can't help but wish I had a pair of these Ugg and Jimmy Choo limited edition boots to keep my toesies warm (Amber Valletta looks so good in them!)  I'll have to settle for my old beat up Uggs for now.  What are your plans to ring in 2011??

Nail Growth & Conditions

NAILS

(GROWTH & CONDITIONS)

Nail Growth

The growth of the nail is influenced by nutrition, health and disease. The nail grows forward, starting at the matrix and extending over the tip of the finger.

The average rate of growth in the normal adult is about 1/8 of an inch per month, growing faster in the Summer than in the Winter. The nails of children grows more rapidly, whereas those of elderly people grows more slowly. The nail grows faster in the middle finger and slowest on the thumb.

If the nail is separated from the nail bed through injury, it becomes distorted or discolored. If the nails becomes injured after the loss of a nail, a badly formed nail will result.

The nails are neither shed automatically or periodically, as are hairs. If the nail is torn off accidentally, or lost through an infection or disease, it will only grow as long as the matrix remains in good condition. Nails lost under such conditions, are on regrowth, frequently badly shaped, due to interference at the base of the nail. Ordinarily replace of the nail takes about 4 months.

Man Fashion: Dress To Impress Part 2

This is in fact got nothing in connection with our earlier post on Were You Dress to Impress?. We just came across a very interesting post from AWJ, particularly on fashion dress code.

First impressions count. This is particular message Swiss bank UBS AG is actually posting their Swiss retail banking staff members with a 43-page code dispensing suggestions about the way to impress customers by using a polished look.

Echoing rules applied at Swiss boarding schools, UBS's guidelines exceed a list of dress "do's" and "don'ts" by providing hygiene as well as grooming guidelines often filled with aphorisms worthy of design as well as magazines on beauty.

The move is definitely an aspect associated with a test UBS is performing in Switzerland throughout 5 preliminary branches. It follows a recent marketing campaign geared towards re-establishing self-confidence within the Swiss bank's brand and restoring relations with customers.

The UBS Dress Code: Do's and Don'ts

Do's

For women:

Wear your jacket buttoned.

When sitting, the buttons should be unfastened.

Make sure to touch up hair regrowth regularly if you color your hair.

For men:

- Store your suit on a large hanger with rounded shoulders to preserve the shape of the garment.

- Schedule barber appointments every four weeks to maintain your haircut shape.

Don'ts (Seems to apply to both men and women)

Eating garlic and onions

Smoking or spending time in smoke-filled places

Wearing short-sleeved shirts or cuff links

Wearing socks that are too short, showing your skin while sitting

Allowing underwear to be seen

Touching up perfume during or after lunch break

Using tie knots that don't match your face shape and/or body shape

Are all these fair enough? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section.

let your socks ride high

I don't know about you but all of this holiday shopping has seriously taken a toll on my sanity.  Of course, when shopping for others I always see things I want for myself...which really isn't so bad is it?  Anyways I went to Forever 21 (which was a total madhouse!) but scored some really cute thigh-high socks for like 5 bucks.  You can also get them at American Apparel in various colors.

the weekend

It always seems that right before the holidays, there are so many things going on.  Parties and other festivities have been keeping me busy.  Saturday night we celebrated our friend's birthday at his log cabin-style house (he is one of the owners of The Bigfoot Lodge) with bbq, some pool playing and drinks.  Sunday night I had a party at the Venice Canals to watch the Holiday Boat Parade which was really, really fun.  Now, if only I could find some time to get started on Christmas shopping.

a dress of shells

I don't always like unconventional wedding dresses because sometime it seems like they're trying too hard to be different.... but this one from Oracle Fox's wedding in Bali totally fits the location and I think it looks stunning on her! And I love that she wore feathers in her hair too, nice touch.

another candle on the cake

For my 25th birthday (ahhh 25 I can't believe it) I had a house party to celebrate not only my birthday but also moving into a new house. Since I feel like I'm now officially an adult, it seemed only right to rent a moonbounce. All in all, the party was a success but I always feel like the time flies by so quickly when I'm the host.  These hypstematic photos were taken by my friend Kerry Malouf, who also did my fabulous party make up!

Man Fashion Tips: Buying clothes for your plus size girlfriend

If you guys are thinking of getting your ladies great plus size fashion this Christmas, but don’t know where to start, then don’t worry because help is at hand. Here’s your guide to keeping it simple this festive season.

Size is everything!

First things first, you need to know her size before you take to the shops. Some women have one size for the top and another for the bottom, so subtly try asking her for these. There’s no point going to the store without her measurements and there’s nothing worse than coming back with an outfit too small, or heaven forbid, too big!

Keep them figure-hugging and curvalious!

If you’re thinking of buying your Missus a dress this winter or one of those funky, in-trend Christmas jumpers, then make sure you keep her fabulous curves in mind. Buy a dress that nips in at the waist and why not go that bit further and get a glamorous belt –she’ll love you for being thoughtful.

One thing that every girl loves!

Shoes! A safe bet, no matter what her size or shape. If you buy her a pair of shiny sparkly heels, then you can’t wrong. Note, this doesn’t include slippers!

Believe it or not, this rainbow wall was inside of a Downtown LA parking lot.  I had to take a picture in front of it after a night out at the Edison, because my inner hippie loves rainbows.

Man Fashion: Common Silly Mistakes to Avoid in Mens Fashion

Some of us always been classified as special group of human being that are less fashion conscious by our opposite sex (except minority). Whether we like this statement or not, we do find some of the silly fashion mistakes that made by most of the men on the street. So we thought like share out just few with some of the readers here.

Novelty Tie? Come on, Pianos or guitars should never be depicted on a tie. We know Christmas is at the corner, but try to avoid anything with festive tag on to it.

Watch out for trousers! never be too short or too long. Rule of thumb is to rest hemlines of trousers on the laces of your shoes.

Do you still notice some suit with label on sleeve? Remove this unecessary label from the blazer of your suit immediately. We are not full models for fashion designers, we should be judge by the look and style, not by the brand! :)

Watch out for our next review on common silly mistakes in men fashion.
